The Dead Discography
The surviving original members of the Grateful Dead decided to tour in 2003, with additional musicians, using the group name The Dead. All shows performed during the Summer tour (June to September) were recorded at the soundboard and transferred to CD. The resulting high fidelity 3-CD sets were sold at subsequent shows in the tour and by mail order. A box set of the whole tour was pre-sold during the tour. Similar releases were also produced for the 2004 tours. The Dead toured again in Spring and Summer 2009 and all shows were released in downloadable formats.
