Red Mountain And The Chosen Family - Rockadelic RRLP41 2002

The house band at the Chosen Family commune in Rancho Olompali in Novato, California, rehearsal tapes from this time were later released by Rockadelic as Red Mountain And The Chosen Family. They recorded a demo in 1969 after which they relocated to L A , changed their name to Born Again, and recorded an album that lay unreleased till Rockadelic put it out in 2002.

Originally from San Angelo in Texas where the 45 was cut, they relocated to San Francisco around 1968 before splitting up in 1970.

The name adopted by Moby Grape in 1969 after Mathew Katz laid claim to the rights to use the name Moby Grape for his own projects.
