This California outfit started out as a Bay Area folk rock band. Cauz, You Don't Love Me was also recorded by The Tormentors on their Hanging 'Round album, although it's not known who wrote the song. Be Happy Baby is a very Stones-influenced effort. Cauz You Don't Love Me is a more upbeat folk-punk effort.
Compilation appearances have included: Cauz, You Don't Love Me on Boulders, Vol. 2 (LP) and Garage Punk Unknowns, Vol. 4 (LP); Be Happy Baby on Garage Punk Unknowns, Vol. 3 (LP).

THE ONLY ALTERNATIVE AND HIS OTHER POSSIBILITIES
Appeared at the Benefit for Legalization of Marijuana (LEMAR) at the California Hall with Country Joe and The Fish 17/12/66. The Only Alternative and his Other Possibilities were Mimi Farina's folk-rock band, formed after the death of her husband Richard Farina. They played a lot around 67, and had an episode of "Come Up The Years" devoted to them. Some members contributed to Mimi's unissued '67 solo record for Vanguard.

Out of Sacramento, the Oxford Circle played around the S F ballroom circuit and released a lone 45 before splitting. Gary Yoder and Dehner Patten went on to Kak, Yoder also played with Blue Cheer, as did Paul Whaley. A collection of live and previously unissued studio recordings was released as "Live At The Avalon '66" by Big Beat in 1998.
