Cryin' Time was performed by Bob Weir, Rob Wasserman and Hot Tuna as part of the encore of a show on July 13, 1991.

Cryin' Time was written by Buck Owens and first released by him as the b-side of a single in 1964. Ray Charles released a cover of the song in 1965 which reached the top ten in a number of Billboard charts. Many other performers covered the song after the success of the Ray Charles version.

The original release by Buck Owens had the title Cryin' Time. The Ray Charles release was as Crying Time. Both titles have subsequently been used on recordings.
