Ain't No More Cane
Composer: Traditional

A scene in the Festival Express movie shows Rick Danko, Jerry Garcia, Janis Joplin and other musicians performing Aint No More Cane whilst traveling on the tour train.

It is thought that the song developed from work songs in Texas prisons. The song occurs with a variety of titles including: Ain't No More Cane, Ain't No More Cane On The Brazos, No More Cane On The Brazos, No More Cane, Cane On The Brazos or sometimes just Brazos.

The Ernest Williams recording of the song was made in 1933 at Central State Farm in Sugarland, Texas.
