The Grateful Dead and related groups play The Who

The Grateful Dead played only one Who song, Baba O'Riley. However other Who songs were played by Phil Lesh & Friends, Billy & The Kids and by Vince Welnick with The Tubes. Who songs were also played on one-off occasions by members of the Grateful Dead.

Pete Townshend, of The Who, sat in with the Grateful Dead for two and a bit songs during the March 28, 1981 show in Essen. No Who songs were played during that show.

Baba O'Riley was played by the Grateful Dead in the 1990's. It was also played by Vince Welnick with The Tubes, Phil Lesh & Friends, and The Valentines with Bob Weir and Vince Welnick
