Money (That's What I Want) was possibly played by The Warlocks in 1965. It was performed once by Ratdog at a Bill Clinton inauguration celebration in Washington on January 19, 1997. The song was also played by Phil Lesh & Friends in 2019.

Money (That's What I Want) was first recorded by Barrett Strong in the Summer of 1959 and released on the Tamla label in 1960. It became the first hit record for the Berry Gordy Tamla / Motown organization. It was subsequently covered by many groups.

The song is sometimes listed as just Money on record labels, LP covers and other artifacts.
