Sunflower Records Discography Sunflower Records were based in Los Angeles and operated between 1970 and 1972. The company released eight LPs and around thirty singles. These release were distributed by MGM. The Sunflower LPs are listed below. Sunflower obtained the rights to some live Grateful Dead recordings from 1966 which they released as Vintage Dead and Historic Dead. These albums were legal releases but were released without the permission of the Grateful Dead. Both albums reached the Billboard 200 album chart. Additions and corrections are welcome.
