The Friends of Montezuma

A few months before using the band name Ratdog, Bob Weir, Rob Wasserman, Matthew Kelly and Jay Lane played two shows billed as The Friends of Montezuma. This name appears to have been used at three shows.


April 30, 1995 at the Sweetwater Saloon, Mill Valley, CA

Early parts of this show may have been just Weir solo or Weir/Wasserman duo. Woody Harelson joined the band on guitar and vocals for the encore.
