1969 : Bobby Ace and the Cards from the Bottom of the Deck

A show at California Hall in San Francisco on June 11, 1969 was possibly billed as by Bobby Ace and the Cards from the Bottom of the Deck. The members of the band were possibly Bob Weir, Jerry Garcia, Phil Lesh, Mickey Hart, Tom Constanten, John Dawson and David Nelson.

1970 : Bobby Ace and the Cards from the Bottom of the Deck / Mickey Hart & His Heartbeats

Three shows at the Family Dog at the Great Highway in San Francisco on April 17, 18 and 19, 1970 included a group that were billed on handbills as both Mickey Hart & His Heartbeats and Bobby Ace and the Cards from the Bottom of the Deck. The line-up of the group is uncertain. It was a stripped down Grateful Dead probably with Bob Weir, Mickey Hart, Jerry Garcia and Phil Lesh.
