The main part of this release comprises two different versions of a 1990 San Francisco concert by Merl Saunders and the Rainforest Band. One version is from a TV show, San Francisco After Dark, which uses excerpts from the concert interspersed with clips of Saunders talking about his commitment to preserving the rainforest. The second version is a straight concert video.

Additional contents include a video of the title song with Jerry Garcia on guitar and a short documentary (Rediscovering the Amazon) about the destruction of the rainforests
