Phil Lesh, Bob Weir, Mickey Hart & Vince Welnick joined Michael Tilson Thomas, the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, and others on June 14, 1996 for a simultaneous performance of the John Cage compositions Renga and Apartment House 1776. Renga was composed during 1975 and 1976. It comprises 78 parts for any instruments or voices.
