Notes
A John Lennon song. Original UK Beatles single, released in December 1965, was a double A sided single w/ We Can Work It Out. It became the Beatles 10th consecutive No. 1 in the UK. In the US it was released also in December 1965, with We Can Work It Out as the A side and Day Tripper as the B side.
Lennon, in an interview in 1980, said the following about the song, That's mine, including the lick, the guitar break, and the whole bit. It's just a rock 'n' roll song. Day trippers are people who go on a day trip, right? Usually on a ferryboat or something. But it was kind of - you know, 'you're just a weekend hippie,' Get it.
