Performed once only with Bo Diddley on 25th March 1972. Also played by the Allman Brothers Band, with Garcia sitting in, on December 31, 1973.
Originally recorded by Bo Diddley on 2nd March 1955, his first recording session. This was initially released as a single (on the A-side w/ I'm A Man on the flip side) in 1955 in both the 78rpm and the 45rpm single formats. It was subsequently released in 1967 as a 4" 'hip pocket' single.
Writing credits on records are Ellas McDaniel, the real name of Bo Diddley. Often appears incorrectly on recordings and elsewhere as Ellis McDaniels or other variation.
