Strange Things Are Happening was a short-lived UK based music fanzine edited by Brian Hogg, Richard Norris and Phil Smee. It was a professionally produced publication of approximately 50 pages that covered a wide range of musics and some other subjects. The first edition was published in July 1988, the last in the Spring of 1990. The main features of the the seven magazines published were as follows.

Vol. 1, No. 2: (1988): Iggy Pop & The Stooges, Giant Sand, Wire, Man In A Suitcase, The Creation Label, Richard Brautigan, Alan Moore, American Country Rock, The Shamen, The Silver Surfer.

Vol. 1, No. 3: (1988): Little Feat, Nirvana, Country Rock, International Artists, The Insect Trust, Tiny Tim, Bruce Lee, Barbarella, Autosalvage, Kathy Acker.

Vol. 1, No. 4: (1988): Van Morrison and Them, Syd Barrett, Sid Griffin's Guide To Los Angeles, The Man From U.N.C.L.E., Fierce Recordings, Green On Red, Merrell Fankhauser, John Fahey.

Vol. 1, No. 5: (1989): Frank Zappa and The Mothers, Track Records, Josefus, Merrell Fankhauser, Crosstown Traffic, Paula Paradaema, Clive Barker, EC Comix, Roy Orbison.
