A collection of interviews with songwriters talking about songwriting. The interviews were all undertaken by Paul Zollo and initially published in Song Talk, the journal of the National Academy of Songwriters. That might make it sound a rather dry volume but it's not - it's very readable, informative and interesting. Includes an interview with Bruce Horsnby. Other interviewees include, Carole King, Gerry Goffin, Bob Dylan, Pete Seeger, Willie Dixon, Brian Wilson, Lamont Dozier, Joan Baez, Burt Bacharach, Randy Newman, Leonard Cohen, Richard Thompson and Los Lobos.
