This important collection of rock journalism includes a lengthy article about the Grateful Dead that was originally been published in Rolling Stone (No. 40) in August 1969. At one point Jerry Garcia referred to this article as the best he'd ever read about the Dead. The article was subsequently included in The Rolling Stone Rock 'N' Roll Reader and Garcia.
