The magazine covered a wide range of rock music, plus some coverage of soul, folk and other genres. Let It Rock was edited by Dave Laing. Contributing writers included Charlie Gillett, Simon Frith, Charlie Gillett, John Tobler, Mike Leadbitter, Ian Whitcomb, Greil Marcus, Michael Gray, Gene Sculatti, Ed Ward, Karl Dallas, Richard Williams, Lester Bangs and Peter Guralnick. The last edition of Let It Rock appeared at the end of 1975.
