Freakbeat

Freakbeat was a UK fanzine that covered 1960's and 1980/1990's garage, psychedelic and freakbeat music. Freakbeat was run by Richard Allen and Ivor Trueman and operated in the 1980's and early 1990's. The fanzine was issued at irregular intervals and featured wonderful psychdelic page designs which occasionally made reading difficult! A selection of front and rear covers and example page layouts are displayed below.

The fanzine included free 7" singles - the label Delerium Records was initially setup to produce these singles. The Freak Emporium mail order company also developed as a source for music discussed in Freakbeat.
